Christmas in Williamsburg

Two days after Christmas we left for Williamsburg with my parents for a mini-vacation. We had a wonderful time in our quick little trip! We spent Wednesday driving, eating, and seeing Colonial Williamsburg at dusk and dark.

On Thursday, we spent the morning at Colonial Williamsburg to see their beautiful decorations in the daylight. My brain could not comprehend the fact that the town would not be lit up. No electricity and keeping with the times = no Christmas lights!!! There is now a huge museum in the building where the hospital is. That was actually amazing! I don't think we've ever seen that part.

Thursday night we went to Christmastown at Busch Gardens. I was not sure what to expect since we've been to Disney during the Christmas season a few times. Their decorations were amazing! We saw three of the four shows (the fourth was Sesame Street...I'll pass), and they were all great. The last show, Gloria, was spectacular.

Overall, we had a fabulous trip, ate a ton of food that we should not have, and just laughed. It was really nice to get away from Maryland for a bit too!
we may have to try this place the next time we go!

Thanks for an awesome trip Mom & Dad!!!
